Zinfra said it has entered into an agreement with Bechtel for the design and construction of a 132 kV High Voltage Power Cable System for the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project in Western Australia.
The subcontract has an estimated value of approximately AU $36Million and is expected to support up to 50 engineering, manufacturing jobs at Zinfra, across Australia and onsite at Ashburton North. Work on the design component began in August 2012 and the subcontract is expected to be completed by January 2016.
The 132 kV High Voltage Power Cable System includes the construction of a highly specialised cable duct bank system using expertise within the fields of engineering, design, construction and commissioning.
