Peru LNG shipped a liquefied natural gas cargo to Mexico on Sunday, according to PeruPetro S.A.
The cargo is being hauled by the Barcelona Knutsen, a 173,400 cubic-meter tanker, operated by Knutsen OAS Shipping, and it is sailing to the Manzanillo import terminal.
Repsol, which holds a 20% stake in the Peru LNG project, has an LNG supply contract with the Federal Commission of Electricity, Mexico for the terminal at Puerto de Manzanillo, on the Mexican Pacific coast.
This contract is for the supply of LNG to the Mexican plant for a period of 15 years and with a volume of at least 67 bcm.
