Mingde Heavy Industry, on Oct. 21st, carried out the launching ceremony for Singapore-based Nova Shipping & Logistics’ second wood chip carrier, the XINHUI EXPRESS (Yard No. MD146).
The vessel features 51,800 tons of Gross tonnage and a DWT of 69,300 tons. Compared with other similar bulk ships, the ‘XINHUI EXPRESS’ possesses the characteristics of large capacity, high efficiency, environmental friendliness and energy saving.

The American Bureau of Shipping is in charge of classing the ship.
Delivery of the vessel is scheduled for the second quarter of 2014.
