Nupas-Cadmatic has signed a major deal with North American Shipbuilding (NAS), based in Larose (Louisiana). NAS is part of Edison Chouest Offshore. The deal was signed after an extensive trial period that challenged the software’s capabilities. The successful test showed that Nupas-Cadmatic provides the yard with a wide range of benefits not covered by their former CAD/CAM software. The contract includes the complete configuration of more than 50 structural, outfitting, electrical, production and nesting licenses.
NAS mainly builds for Edsion Chouest Offshore. Founded as Edison Chouest Boat Rental in Galliano, Louisiana, in 1960, the Edison Chouest Offshore companies (ECO) are recognized today as the most diverse and dynamic marine transportation solution providers in the world. ECO operates a growing fleet of over 200 vessels, ranging from 87 to over 360 feet in length, serving an expanding global customer base.
NAS was founded in Larose, Louisiana, in 1974, and has built more specialized offshore vessels than any other shipyard in the world.
