BP of UK has won a tender to supply around 40 of the 48 LNG cargoes sought by Argentina’s YPF for delivery into the Bahia Blanca import terminal.
Gazprom Marketing & Trading will bring in a further five cargoes to the Bahia Blanca terminal, while Statoil will deliver the final three, Reuters informs.
According to Reuters, YPF also picked Gas Natural Fenosa to deliver around 2.7 million tonnes of LNG into the Escobar terminal.
Argentina last month launched a tender to secure approximately 5.57 million tonnes of LNG over the 2014-2015 period to help cover its energy needs.
