Taipei-based Wisdom Marine Group has ordered three new bulk carriers at a combined total of approx. $75 million. The two shipyards responsible for the construction are Imabari Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Japan.
Under the deal that was announced on Oct 25th, Imabari will build two 37,600 dwt bulkers for the owner while Kawasaki Heavy Industries will construct one 55,000 dwt vessel.
All three newbuilds are scheduled for delivery in 2017.
Wisdom Marine’s owns and operates a fleet of 90 vessels with the orderbook of 35 vessels all planned for delivery within the next four years.
