One of the world’s oldest sailing tankers, LNG Leo, has docked at the Dutch Gate terminal on Friday, the Port of Rotterdam said in a statement.

After a difficult start in 2013, the Rotterdam port currently handles one LNG tanker weekly. The port authority rewards seagoing LNG tankers holding the Green Award certificate by offering them a 6 percent discount on harbour dues.

The Green Award is a certificate by the independent Green Award Foundation granted to ships and shipping companies which have made extra investments in vessel and crew to improve environmental performance, safety and quality.
