LNG shipper Awilco LNG said that it has signed a charter deal for its 156,000-cbm WilForce carrier with an unidentified oil and gas major.
The 2013 built Tri-Fuel-Diesel-Electric (TFDE) vessel has been committed to a three-year contract plus a one-year option.
The contract will commence 25 January 2014 and is expected to contribute with an annualized EBITDA of about $23.5 million per year during the fixed period.
Chief Executive Officer of Awilco LNG, Jon Skule Storheill , says: “We are very pleased to have fixed WilForce, our 1 st newbuilding, for a period charter with an oil and gas major while still on her maiden voyage. This fixture is a milestone in terms of bringing Awilco LNG from the construction phase to the operating phase with a client accepting only the highest standard of LNG operations.”
