A delegation from the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office (UKHO) has visited Abu Dhabi Ports Company and met with ADPC’s Chief Harbour Master, the Marine Information Officer and the Aids to Navigation Manager to discuss mapping and charting the Abu Dhabi coast.

It was the UKHO’s delegations second visit in three years. This trip was to discuss ways of working together, modifications to Abu Dhabi coast charting and plans to issue some new editions of the navigational charts relating to the UAE’s waters.

The UKHO has been charting the world’s oceans for more than 200 years with the primary aim of providing navigational products and services. The office produces a worldwide series of some 3,300 paper nautical charts, 160 publications under the ADMIRALTY brand and Electronic Navigational Charts (ENCs). The ADMIRALTY portfolio is sold globally and used by nearly 70% of all international shipping.
