STX Marine (STXM) reported that the company performed the undocking of the Belait CSS 1, the maintenance version of the popular Compact Semi Sub design, on 7th Dec 2013, at Fujian Mawei Shipyard SE China.
The Fit for Purpose CSS is a multi-function well-intervention, supply and light construction vessel. The primary features of the vessel are a 150 T lattice boom crane, a telescopic heave compensated gangway, a moonpool, a 12.8 T rated helideck, DP-2 rating and accommodation for 199 people.
The vessel is destined for Brunei to perform Well Head maintenance activity mid 2014.
