Greens: Abbott Approves World’s Largest Coal Port in GBR (Australia)

The Abbott Government’s disregard for the climate and the Great Barrier Reef is criminal, said the Australian Greens today as the Abbott Government approved the Abbot Point coal port expansion and the Curtis Island gas processing facility.

USA: Initial Dredging Work at Bonner Bridge Completed

Crews with the N.C. Department of Transportation and the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company LLC Dredge Alaska completed dredging operations Sunday night at the Herbert C. Bonner Bridge on N.C. 12 over the Oregon Inlet in Dare County.

Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Project Moves Forward

After nearly four years of painstaking efforts, on November 28, the reclamation project of the artificial island of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge for Zhuhai and Macao ports, undertaken by the consortium of CCCC First Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and CCCC Tianjin Dredging Co., Ltd. and the consortium of CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd., supervised by CCCC Fourth Harbor Consultants Co., Ltd., wound up, bringing the project of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge into the new stage of island port construction.

Panama Canal: 100 Years of Culebra Cut Dredging

The Panama Canal commemorated 100 years of dredging Culebra Cut, removing the last barrier during its construction for the free movement of vessels along the 80-kilometer waterway.
