Giovenco Wins Wheatstone LNG Work

Giovenco / Insulations International JV announced that it has signed a contract with Bechtel to perform painting, insulation and fireproofing services on the Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project in Western Australia.

The contract, valued at over AU$105 million, is expected to create over 200 jobs located onsite at Ashburton North, 12 kilometres west of Onslow in Western Australia. The new positions will include the provision of key GII JV management personnel, painters, sheet metal workers, laggers, fireproofing technicians, welders, fabricators and support roles for the project.

The scope of work includes the planning, material management, fabrication and installation of painting, insulation and fireproofing works for the project.

Paul Giovenco , Managing Director said, “The combination of technical expertise from Insulation International’s global LNG Painting, Insulation and Fireproofing experience and Giovenco Industries’ experience in project delivery throughout Australia will ensure all project deliverables are met.”
