FSRU Toscana Starts Commercial Activities

OLT Offshore LNG Toscana announced that the activity of commissioning of the Terminal “FSRU Toscana” has been successfully finalized on last December 19th. The company also said that on December 20th the plant started the commercial activities.

At full capacity, the plant will have a regasification capacity of 3.75 billion cubic meters per year, about 4% of the national demand.

OLT Offshore LNG Toscana S.p.A., set up from the association of E.ON Group (46.79%), Iren Group (46.79%), OLT Energy Toscana S.p.A. (3.73%) and Golar Offshore Toscana Limited (2.69%), holds the property of the floating regasification Terminal “FSRU Toscana” and it is responsible for the relative operation management.

“FSRU Toscana”, moored about 22 km off the coasts between Livorno and Pisa, is connected to the national grid through a 36.5 km long pipeline operated and managed by Snam Rete Gas, of which 29.5 km are at sea and 7 km on dry land.
