USA: Corps to Invite Bids for Great South Bay Channel Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has introduced a plan to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for maintenance dredging of the Great South Bay Channel, New York, in the Moriches Bay section of the channel. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, has introduced a plan to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for maintenance dredging of the Great South Bay Channel, New York, in the Moriches Bay section of the channel.

During this cleanup program, approximately 100,000 cubic yards of material will be removed from these areas. It is anticipated that dredging and disposal should take place within the approximate time period of April 2014 to June 2014.

The estimated cost range of this project is between $1 mln and $5 mln, and the bid opening date is February 20, 2014.
