Blue Water signed a contract in 2013 with a global leader in the design, construction and repair of mobile offshore rigs. The contract included heavy-lift transportation of a number of drilling rigs and handling more than 600.000 freight tons by dry and wet towage.
“For this project we have chartered the biggest semi-submersible vessel in the world, the “Dockwise Vanguard”. We completed a float on operation of the first lower hull in mid-December and the vessel is now on its way to Brazil. We expect to handle the next heavy lift in the second half of 2014″ , says Lars Skov Christensen, Project Manager from Blue Water Singapore .
