The latest liquefied natural gas cargo loaded at the Peru LNG terminal has been dispatched to Mexico.
The 173,600 cubic-meter Castillo de Santisteban departed from the Peru LNG terminal on Sunday, and it is due to arrive at the Manzanillo LNG terminal on January 11.
The 500,000 Mc/d import terminal, built and owned by a consortium of Samsung and Mitsui, each with a stake of 37.5%, and Kogas with 25%, is the third of its type in Mexico.
Repsol, which sold its 20% stake in the Peru LNG project to Shell, has an LNG supply contract with the Federal Commission of Electricity, Mexico for the terminal at Puerto de Manzanillo, on the Mexican Pacific coast.
This contract is for the supply of LNG to the Mexican plant for a period of 15 years and with a volume of at least 67 bcm.
