China: Guangzhou Channel Maintenance Project Awarded

On December 30, CCCC Guangzhou Dredging Co., Ltd. won the bid for Lot I of the maintenance project of the south section of the outward channel of Guangzhou Port from 2013 to 2014, with a contract value of 80 million yuan and a construction period of 6 months.

The project has a total maintenance length of some 71 kilometers, a total engineering quantity of some 3.0868 million cubic meters, a maximum maintenance depth of 17 meters and a maximum maintenance width of 365 meters.

The project will be conducive to the construction of Nansha New Area and be of great significance to promoting the coordinated economic development of the Pearl River Delta and the Pearl River Valley.
