Claire Greenwood, a member of Land and Water Services’ senior management team has had a journal on spot dredging activity published by the institute of Civil Engineers.

Claire’s paper ‘Preserving canals through innovating maintenance spot dredging’ goes on to describe how the innovative use of coastal dredging technology adapted for use on inland waterways can provide a system for specifically increasing product on spot dredging projects.

This results in a reduction in program time and in turn increasing the number of miles dredged without an increase in expenditure.
