Fujian New Energy, a unit of China’s CNOOC, has reportedly signed a deal with Shinfox Corp. of Taiwan to cooperate in developing LNG supplies in Kinmen.
Shinfox and Fujian New Energy have agreed to work together on promoting supplies “ promote supplies to small-scale LNG projects ” in Kinmen, as part of efforts to mitigate pollution in the area, Platts reported.
Fujian New Energy, in which CNOOC has a 60 percent stake and the Fujian Investment and Development Group owns the rest, is primarily tasked with LNG distribution in China’s southern Fujian province via LNG trucks and small-scale LNG plants.
