Damen recently said that it was building the FCS 2610 for stock to keep up with demand and that the company would soon have 40 of these vessels built in just three years.
The first of two Sure Wind Marine’s Damen FCS 2610 vessels was handed over on January 8th 2014 and was named ‘Sure Star’. Sure Wind, being a specialist in the German offshore wind market, headed straight to Esbjerg and is deployed in the German windfarm fields. The second sister vessel, ‘Sure Swift’ will be delivered end-February.
