Afai Southern Shipyards Ltd. together with CoCo Yachts B.V. will build three additional Coastal Cruisers 200 vessels for Peng Xing Ferry company. In the same week when fast ferry Peng Xing 15 was launched, the 1st Coastal Cruiser 200 designed by CoCo Yachts and built by Afai Southern Shipyard, Peng Xing ferry company decided to sign the contract for another three Coastal Cruiser 200 fast ferries.
The new ferries will have the same main dimensions, propulsion and capacity as the two ships already under construction:
Length over all : 40.0 m
Beam over all : 9.30 m
Depth : 3.40 m
Draft : 1.25 m
Propulsion : 2x MTU 12V2000M72 + 2x MJP 650 waterjet
The fast ferries are scheduled for delivery in 2015, and will be deployed to run services in the Pearl River delta between Shenzhen – Zhuhai – Hong Kong – Macau P.R. China,
With this new order, Afai has currently 12 CoCo Yachts designed ferries under construction, including five Coastal Cruisers 200 for Peng Xing ferry company and seven Urban Cruisers 2000 double ended ferry for SETRANS Rio de Janeiro.
