GasLog’s six options for LNG carriers at Samsung Heavy Industries that were previously reported to have expiry on 31 January 2014, will now expire at the end of the first quarter this year, the company said in a statement.
GasLog’s fleet consists of fifteen wholly-owned LNG carriers, including eight ships on the water and seven ships to be delivered by the world’s leading LNG shipbuilder, Samsung Heavy Industries.
The company’s seven ships on order are scheduled to be delivered on various dates between 2014 and 2016. All of GasLog’s fifteen owned ships are, or when delivered will be equipped with the latest Tri-Fuel Diesel Electric (TFDE) propulsion technology.
