The construction of the Dredger 5000 DF has officially kicked off, according to the OJSC Zelenodolsk plant’s press centar.

This vessel will be used primarily for sand and gravel excavation, reports portnews.ru.

The main characteristics of the vessel will be: length overall – 79.13 m, waterline length – 69.9 m, breadth – 12 m, depth – 3.5 m, loaded draught – 1.85 m, displacement with the draught of 1.85 m – 1,206 t, crew – 9 persons, depth of excavation – 4.0-30.0 m, RRR Class – О 2.0 А .

The Zelenodolsk plant, situated in the center of Russia on the bank of the Volga River, is capable of delivering ships and vessels to all regions of the BS, the CS, and the NS basins.
