Drochtersen political leaders have axed Areva’s project to deploy its 8MW wind turbine in Asselermoor, Drochtersen, in Lower Saxony.
According to the German media, the Administrative Committee unanimously voted against this project, giving priority to A26 motorway link and, small scale industry over wind power.
For this project, Areva teamed up with Bremen-based company, Energiekontor. They had positive expectations for this project.
The turbine was expected to be erected in the fourth quarter of 2015.
