South Korea’s Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) has secured a US$316 million (339.3 billion won) order from Sovcomflot to build an ice-class LNG tanker to transport liquefied natural gas produced at the Yamal LNG project in Russia, DSME said in a filling to the stock exchange.
DSME plans to deliver the LNG tanker by June, 2016.
Daewoo has last year won a tender to build up to 16 ice-class LNG tankers which will serve Russia’s Yamal LNG project.
