Several numbers of big sized dredge valves have been successfully handed over to Van Oord, a leading contractor in dredging, marine engineering and offshore projects.
The dredge valves with inner diameter of 1100 and 1600 mm are going to control the flow of water and sand in the suction and discharge pipes from the trailing suction hopper dredgers.
The dredge valves have been produced in Dredge Yard’s facilities in Turkey by using latest production technologies.
To ensure high quality, all the dredge valves underwent through tests under 12 bars and were inspected by Van Oord’s representatives during and after production.
These big dimensional valves weigh more than 13 tonnes each and have a height of almost 5m with the gate opened.
