Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry said it has signed a contract with Anhui Huaqiang Natural Gas to build three LNG bunkering barges for the Chinese market.
The total value of the contract will be about RMB100m.
Anhui Huaqiang Natural Gas plans to order another 10 LNG bunkering barges at Wuchang Shipbuilding in October this year, with more to follow, according to a statement released by Wuchang Shipbuilding.
The barges will be deployed on the inland rivers in Anhui to offer bunkering service to ships that have been converted to run on LNG.
