AKVA group ASA has entered into contracts for a total of five AC450 feed barges with companies within Norway Royal Salmon ASA group and related company Wilsgård Fiskeoppdrett AS.
The total value of the contract is USD 10m, and the barges will be delivered in the period from October 2014 till May 2015.
‘ ‘It is of great importance for AKVA to be selected as the technology partner in the investment programs for such companies as the Norway Royal Salmon and Wilsgård Fiskeoppdrett,” said AKVA group CEO ASA Trond Williksen.
The signing follows a series of unusually early signings of barges and other technology in the Norwegian market this year.
AKVA group is a provider of technology to the fish farming industry.
The products consist of software systems, operational equipment and sensor systems, feed systems, cage systems, net cleaning systems, light systems and recirculation aquaculture systems.
