The cargo is being hauled by the 137,814 cubic-meter Hispania Spirit, and it is expected to arrive at the Guanabara Bay terminal on July 1.
Brazil has stepped up imports of LNG this month as the country experienced a surge in demand for power due to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
