Pan Ocean Co. Ltd, a Korea-based shipping company, has ordered two new Capesize bulk carriers worth USD 56 million each from an unnamed shipbuilder.
The investment comes as the shipper eyes further capacity “to secure vessels for cargo contracts,” as explained by Pan Ocean in its filling to Singapore Stock exchange.
The bulkers are expected to join Pan Ocean’s fleet by November 2016.
Pan Ocean Co., Ltd. provides bulk cargo carrier, pure car and truck carrier, container and tanker services with its fleet of 400,000-ton Very Large Ore Carriers (VLOCs).
