Belgium to receive LNG cargo

Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, shipped an LNG cargo from the Ras Laffan Port to Belgium on Monday, port data reveals. Qatar, the world’s largest LNG producer, shipped an LNG cargo from the Ras Laffan Port to Belgium on Monday, port data reveals.

The cargo is being carried by the 145,800 cbm Simaisma, and it is due to arrive at the Zeebrugge LNG terminal on July 18.

Fluxys of Belgium, the operator of the Zeebrugge terminal, said that in the first three months of this year, nine carriers were unloaded and five were loaded at the import terminal.

This compares with eight and five carriers respectively in the same period last year.
