Fincantieri has debuted on Mercato Telematico Azionario (MTA), the main market of Borsa Italiana. The company operates in the design and construction of complex ships with high technological capabilities, such as merchant and naval vessels, offshore and mega yachts.
Fincantieri raised $479m at IPO, valuing the business at $1.80bn. Unicredit was the sponsor, and Banca IMI was responsible for the placement.

Fincantieri is the 14th company to list since the beginning of 2014. In the first six months of 2014, $14.3bn has been raised on Borsa Italiana markets, including both listings and further capital raises.
This confirms Borsa Italiana’s central role in supporting Italian companies in their growth and development projects.”
