GTT of France said it has received a notification by the Korean shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) for the two newbuildings ordered by GasLog, a Monaco-based shipping company, that specified the use of GTT technology.

GTT, responsible for the design of membrane containment systems for the maritime transportation and storage of LNG, received notification from HHI for these new orders in June 2014.

These two large vessels are expected to be delivered in 2017 and will be built with the Mark III Flex membrane technology which allows for an optimized daily boil-off rate of cargo LNG.

Philippe Berterottière, Chairman and CEO of GTT declared “We are delighted that our long-time partners have selected to use the GTT technology for their newest LNGCs”.
