According to the latest video, the Liepaja Port dredging project has entered into its second (and final) phase.
Liepaja Special Economic Zone Authority reported earlier this month that Strabag Wasserbau GmbH has completed the first phase of the project, increasing the water depth in sectors 2.5 and 2.6 from 10 to 12 meters.
Dredging of the Liepaja Port, Latvia’s third largest port in terms of cargo throughput, began back in late 2013. Completion of the project is scheduled for the end of the year.
