Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co., Ltd has secured a contract valued over USD 56 million from an Asian buyer to build two 64,000DWT bulk carriers, Cosco Corporation (Singapore) Limited has revealed.
The two vessels are scheduled for delivery in 4Q2016 and 1Q2017 respectively.
Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard is close to the international sea route and navigation hub clusters in Asia, and it is a newly built shipyard with one DWT 150,000 dock and four piers in service.
Cosco (Zhoushan) Shipyard is currently constructing a very large ship repairing, building and conversion base composed of three docks ranging from DWT 80,000 to DWT 300,000 ( dock capacity: nearly DWT 1,110,000), with three piers, covering 4,500m of coastline and 2,000,000 m2 of land area.
