Leading safety training provider Safety Technology has announced this week that they are now fully accredited to deliver Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Basic Safety Training from the OffTEC training facility in Enge-Sande, Germany.

Already offering RenewableUK and Global Wind Organisation (GWO) training from their locations across the UK, Ireland and the USA, Safety Technology has now partnered with German safety specialists OffTEC to deliver their industry required safety training to the German Wind Energy sector.

OffTEC’s state of the art Wind Competence Centre is home to a 30m external climbing tower, indoor climbing facility, fully equipped fire training area, offshore training tower, and offshore survival suite.

From these facilities in Enge-Sande, Safety Technology can now offer the GWO Basic Safety Training modules to individuals working in and around wind turbines in the region.

Managing Director of Safety Technology, Bob Dickens, said of their new training capabilities “Safety Technology has been researching the opportunity in Northern Germany for the past 18 months, so we are delighted to be able to work together with OffTEC to offer these training courses in what will be the leading training centre in Europe.”

Together this strong partnership will play a vital part in the supply chain for the surrounding Wind Energy activity in the Baltic region.
