The UK Planning Inspectorate is holding the first open floor hearing for the Navitus Bay offshore wind farm in Bournemouth.

In six open floor sessions, 84 speakers will comment on the offshore wind proposal and after each session the applicant will have an opportunity to respond.

Due to the high level of interest, each interested party that has notified the Planning Inspectorate of their wish to make oral representations is allocated a maximum of 3 minutes of speaking time per party. Individuals who have not registered in advance may participate at the discretion of the ExA.

Second open floor hearing will be held on December 2 on the Isle of Wight.

The proposed Navitus Bay Wind Park, which comprises up to 194 wind turbine generators and associated onshore and offshore infrastructure, with an installed capacity of up to 970 MW (the Project).
