GTT of France received the order for three LNG carriers, plus five options, which will be built by the Korean shipbuilder Samsung Heavy Industries.
These three large LNGCs have been ordered by MBK, a Japanese ship-owner, and will be delivered in 2018. They will be equipped with the Mark III Flex membrane technology which allows an optimized boil off rate.
With 46 orders for vessels received so far since the beginning of the year, a stronger than initially expected order flow, GTT now anticipates 2014 revenue to be close to €227 million and has revised upwards its 2015 revenue outlook, which should reach a level comparable to that of 2014 (i.e. around €10 million more than the revenue outlook announced at the time of the IPO), the company said in a statement.
