IKM buys Hymek Services (Norway)

The IKM Group has taken a majority share position in Norway’s Hymek Services AS. IKM is buying 90% of the company, while the remaining interest is owned by Svånes Invest AS (Erik Svanes).

The new name is IKM Hydraulic Services AS.

Hymek Services AS is located in Tananger (Norway) and delivers services within hydraulics. The main segments are pipe handling, marine and rig, drilling equipment and problem solutions / service. The company has currently 21 employees led by CEO Erik Svanes. IKM says that Svanes will continue as CEO after the acquisition.

The new company will be included in one of the IKM Group divisions, Electrical / Instrumentation / process under Division Director Hans Jakob Mellgren.

“We have tried to strengthen our hydraulic expertise for a long time, and have now finally found what we have been looking for. The division has specialized in electrical and hydraulic products for many years and together with our new team we will appear even better,” says Jakob Mellgren .

“This will strengthen our position in the market and it will give us access to an even larger market and provide opportunities for further growth. We are really looking forward to the cooperation with IKM,” says CEO Hymek Services, Erik Svanes .
