Vattenfall is inviting offers for the provision of personnel to undertake the ‘Marine Coordination’ function for the construction phase of the Sandbank Offshore Wind Farm (SBOW).
‘Marine Coordination’ will oversee all marine operations in the wind farm, provide advice to vessel Masters and coordinate an emergency response to any incident within the wind farm.
The task encompasses traffic control for all vessels at the Offshore Installation Site, as well as people and equipment tracking.
‘Marine Coordination’ will coordinate from SBOW’s site office in the Port of Esbjerg.
The wind farm is located 90 kilometres off the coast of Schleswig-Holstein, and will comprise 72 Siemens wind turbines in the 4-megawatt class.
The construction is expected to start this summer.
