France’s GTT said that its US subsidiary, GTT North America, and Conrad Shipyard have signed a Technical Assistance and License Agreement.
The agreement will enable Conrad Shipyard to design and construct LNG barges and LNG-fueled vessel bunker tanks using GTT’s membrane containment systems, GTT said in a statement.
Conrad Shipyard received its approval after successfully completing the qualification process including dedicated training of its employees by GTT and the fabrication of a membrane tank model.
Both companies look to further develop the small and mid-scale LNG infrastructure in the US, the statement added.
