LNG carrier SCF Melampus, which just joined the fleet of Russian shipping company Sovcomflot (SCF Group), has set sail for Bonny Island, Nigeria.
The vessel has embarked on her maiden voyage having passed the inspection of the chartering company Shell with flying colors.
SCF Melampus should make one port call in the South-East Asia before it reaches Nigeria LNG plant.
The LNG carrier is the third tanker in a series of state-of-the-art vessels to be built under a partnership agreement between Sovcomflot and South Korean shipyard STX Offshore & Shipbuilding.
The vessel was named on December 16, 2014.
