South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering informed it has received an order for an LNG carrier by Mitsui OSK Lines.
The vessel will be chartered by the German company E.ON that signed a deal with MOL. MOL will have an option to add another vessel depending on the German company’s trade volumes.
DSME said that the newbuild will feature its partial re-liquefaction system that reliquefies vaporized LNG sending it back to the containment system.
The 180,000 cbm LNG carrier will be delivered in 2018.
