The recently delivered ‘Greatdrill Chaaru’ jack-up drilling rig will work for the national oil company of India, ONGC.
The information was revealed today by Lamprell, the company that built the rig. The rig, owned by Greatship Global Energy Services Pte. Ltd, will join its sister rig the “ Greatdrill Chaaya “, delivered also by Lamprell in 2013.
Named at a ceremony that was held at Lamprell’s Hamriyah facility in the UAE on February 9, the ‘Greatdrill Chaaru’ will leave to its drilling location, offshore India within the next few days.
“Greatdrill Chaaru” has been designed according to the LeTourneau Super 116E (Enhanced) Class design.
