KS Energy Limited has announced that PT Atlantic Oilfield Services, a subsidiary of KS Drilling together with its joint operation partner, Pertamina Drilling Services Indonesia, has been awarded a contract for the “KS Java Star” jack-up drilling rig.
According to KS Energy, work is expected to begin in March 2015.
The company did not name the client. However, it did specify that the expected value of the new contract is approximately $7.2 million.
Java Star is a jack-up drilling rig of a Friede & Goldman L-780 design. It was built by Keppel FELS Singapore in 1981 and upgraded in 2009.
