Vroon has announced that one of its newest vessels, VOS Faithful, is ready to start its first long-term charter.
According to Vroon, following its arrival in Aberdeen last week, the vessel has now finalized preparations for ERRV duties.
The vessel was named in November 2014 in China, and headed to North Sea in January 2015.
VOS Faithful is a 50‑m ERRV (emergency response and rescue vessel) and the third in a ten-vessel newbuilding programme, with six 50-m ERRVs being built at Jiangsu Island Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd. in Nanjing, China and four 60-m vessels under construction at Fujian Shipbuilding Industry, also in China.
All vessels have a revolutionary, wave-piercing, bow shape that has been specially designed for Vroon. The first four vessels, VOS Fabulous, VOS Fairness and VOS Glamour, are already operating out of Aberdeen for Vroon Offshore Services.
