The World Energy Council said the classification society DNV GL has joined as the newest member of its Global Partner programme.
DNV GL delivers testing, certification and advisory services to the energy value chain including renewables and energy efficiency. Its expertise spans onshore and offshore wind power, solar, conventional generation, transmission and distribution, smart grids, sustainable energy use, as well as energy markets and regulations.
For the oil and gas industry DNV GL provides a broad range of services, such as technical assurance, marine assurance and advisory, risk management and offshore classification.
As a Global Partner of the Council, DNV GL will be actively engaged in the activities of its national member committees in the Netherlands, Norway, South Africa and the US to promote sustainable energy development in these countries as a part of the World Energy Council’s energy vision, DNV GL said in a statement.
