UK’s Environmental Technology Verification (ETV) bodies are working together at the Sustainability Live conference to improve innovative energy and sustainability management in the UK.
The European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) will join BRE Global, WRc plc, and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) at Sustainability Live in Birmingham on April 21-23, 2015 in order to raise awareness of the EU-ETV scheme and build partnerships with future stakeholders, EMEC’s press release reads.
EU-ETV are qualified third parties set up to verify the claims about the performance of innovative environmental technologies.
The ‘Statement of Verification’ is delivered at the end of the ETV process and can be used as proof that the claims about the innovation are credible and scientifically sound.
With proof of performance credibly assured, innovations can enter the market more easily, and the technological risk is reduced for technology purchasers.
Among others, EU ETV scheme supports technologies from the energy sector, including tidal, wave and wind energy.
The conference will be held in the NEMEX Energy Management Exhibition hall, NEC, Birmingham.
Representatives from each organisation will be present across the three days to speak to anyone interested in learning more about the ETV scheme.
