Abdullah Al Sulaiti , Managing Director of Nakilat, has been honoured as one of the Gulf’s top CEOs at the an awards ceremony in Dubai.
Al Sulaiti was recognised as one of Qatar’s top 10 CEOs, coming in eighth among companies listed on the Qatar Exchange, the company said in a statement.
When all 700 companies from the region’s seven stock exchanges were taken into account, Nakilat won 33rd place.
“The expansion and consolidation of our shipping activities has been a major achievement for Nakilat in the last 12 months,” Al Sulaiti said.
Nakilat revealed record profits of QR895 million at its AGM in March. The company owns and co-owns 54 LNG and four LPG vessels.
The LNG vessels represent a total investment of approximately US $11 billion and have a combined carrying capacity of over 8.5 million cubic meters.
