Groupement solidaire Artelia has been awarded project management contract at Saint-Nazaire by Grand Port Maritime (GPM) de Nantes.
The Saint-Nazaire Port Authority’s contract is aiming to ensure the design and undertaking of work regarding an industrial project creating a platform for a future home for the logistics hub at Saint-Nazaire for storage, assembly and boarding of offshore wind farm equipment.
This project includes geotechnical engineering services for reinforcement of docks, leveling of the port’s yards and the establishment of roads and various networks through the implementation of the port hub.
Saint-Nazaire will be a home port for the 480MW wind farm located 12 kilometers of its coast. The wind farm, being developed by EDF and Alstom , will feature 80 Alstom Haliade – 6MW turbines.
